Morocco Delight An American friend and I (a Canadian) initially booked the trip and then we approached various friends to join us. We selected this trip as it gave us all of our desired points of interest. My friend wanted to see the Blue City and I wanted to go glamping in the Sahara desert, after riding in by camel,and visiting Rabat, Fez, Marrakesh, and Essaouira. Ultimately, we had six Canadians and four Americans on this trip. The group size was wonderful and the accommodations were great, interesting and very unique. I felt we got a real Moroccan experience. Our guide and driver (both named Hichim) went out of the way to give us great experiences. For example, we each selected fish at a market and then went elsewhere to have them cook it up for us for a meal. We had a fun cooking lesson, and I couldn’t believe how stuffed sardines could taste so good! Our guide also demonstrated for me how to wear a Berber scarf, and he also took me to a vendor who dressed me authentically at a small cost, as I like dressing up in the native garb in the countries I visit. One of my friends lost her luggage on the trip over, and they went to great lengths to locate and retrieve her luggage. We enjoyed time with our guide and driver so much, we treated them to dinner on our last night, in addition to tipping them. I only have one complaint, and that was regarding the practice that each of us would contribute to the tip for the porters who transported our luggage from the bus to our accommodations. In future, I would recommend that fee simply be included in the price by the tour company. That would be less stressful for everyone.

An Unforgettable Experience through Morocco Immersion Tours A friend and I had been hoping to visit Morocco for some time and, through our research, came across Morocco Immersion Tours. We were drawn to the company because it was family-run, and we liked the itineraries. We finally booked and spent 14 days wonderful days traveling throughout Morocco. We loved the architecture, the scenery, the food and the people -- so friendly and welcoming. The company lives up to its title -- we felt that we were immersed in Moroccan culture. Our guide was informative and proud of his heritage, which rubbed off on us. Our driver also was excellent. I think one of the best parts of booking with this company was that we felt truly cared for -- the guide and driver wanted to ensure that we were enjoying ourselves and also were very mindful of any limitations among members of our group. I hope to return to Morocco (would like to spend more time in the cities -- so fascinating!) and would definitely use Morocco Immersion Tours again. Beautiful Morocco - 10 days of Wonderment Absolutely one of the best trips I've taken. I found MIT via KimKim and from the first contact I was treated as a valued old friend. I worked with Sharon directly to create a robust tour that was a combo mix of budget friendly and luxury with a private guide, and she delivered above and beyond. Our tour began in Casablance where we were met by our driver Rachid, who would become our best buddy, ever so kind and helpful and always at the ready to take us on to our next adventure. Over the next 10 days we stayed in Rabat, Fez, Merzouga (Sahara desert), Valley of the Roses and ending in Marakesh. Each city/town had it's own unique flavor and Sharon chose the best local guides for each area. We walked long distances of antiquities, local markets, wandered in the desert at sunset and learning in depth history and the colorful culture of Morocco. What I most appreciated was the hotel/riads that we stayed in, right in the heart of the medinas, that at first was perplexing until I found my rythym of navigation. Each riad was special, the rooms spacious and well apointed and the staff the staff friendly and hospitiable When I was lost a few times, I never felt unsafe at any time. Our stay in Valley of the Roses included a lunch at a personal friends home, where we cooked together and dined, spending the afternoon talking about our different cultures, what dreams each of us had, and our commonalities...this day was special beyond, the family was absolutely delightful. I really appreciated knowing each day what to expect as our driver Rachid took full ownership of coordinating all of our guides and meeting points. One day there was a slight hotel issue and immediately he, Sharon and Abdou jumped in to remedy in a heartbeat. Morocco is truly the heartbeat of civilization and learning the culture in the tour MIT created was tremendous. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was to feel so taken care of, my needs and desires met with 'can do' service. Trip of a Lifetime We took the Magical Immersion Small Group tour. It was the most mind blowing trip I have ever taken. Everything about it was excellent, from the accommodations to the tour guide and locations. Highly recommend this trip to the adventurous.
